Keston Okoro Hails Historic Unity Between Oborevwori And Omo-Agege, Commends APC Leadership.
By Henry Ubus.
Hon. Dr. Liege-Lord Keston Okoro Muhammad Al-Amin has congratulated the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Olorogun Sheriff Oborevwori, and former Deputy Senate President, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, on what he described as a historic and progressive unity of purpose for the advancement of the Urhobo nation and the sustainable development of Delta State.
Dr. Keston, in a goodwill message, said he is filled with great joy alongside all true democrats over the manifestation of unity between the two prominent leaders, noting that it aligns with his long-standing advocacy for political cohesion among the Urhobo people.
According to him, “It has always been my belief that the Urhobos must be united, Deltans must be united, APC Delta State must be united, and all hands must be on deck to support His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori. Unity and comfort are the crown of any true democratic society.”
He profoundly appreciated Almighty God for making the renewed bond between both leaders possible, saying it will strengthen political stability, economic prosperity, and socio-cultural advancement. He added that this unity will further enhance Delta State’s contributions to the administration of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and positively shape the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
Dr. Keston also extended special appreciation to Chief Ayiri Emami, acknowledging his role in facilitating the reconciliation. He congratulated the newlywed couple whose marriage ceremony served as the foundation for the august unity, praying for peace, comfort, and God’s blessings in their matrimonial home.
Furthermore, he commended the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, Engr. Elder Omeni Sobotie, the State Executive Council, College of Leaders, and all stakeholders whose tireless efforts contributed to the long-anticipated achievement of unity in the party.
He particularly praised Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, “The Obarisi of Urhoboland,” for demonstrating humility by offering a progressive prayer to Governor Oborevwori. He also commended the Governor
fondly called “Ukodo of the Universe”
for reciprocating the gesture by referring to Omo-Agege as his younger brother, adding that “dog no dey bite e pikin reach bone.”
Describing the moment as a “wonderful combination of powerful prayers,” Dr. Keston prayed for God’s continuous blessings upon both leaders.
Consequently, he urged followers of both political blocs to embrace peace, unity, and harmony for the overall development of the APC, Delta State, and the prosperity of all Deltans.
Addressing Governor Oborevwori as the leader of the APC in the state, Dr. Keston appealed for inclusive governance, emphasizing the need to empower dedicated party members
particularly those from the old APC structure so that “people who stay close to the river will not be looking for water to wash pepper from their eyes.”
He added, “As the Ukodo and Messiah of Delta State, you know that it is where a man works that he should benefit.”
Dr. Keston reaffirmed his commitment to supporting ongoing efforts toward strengthening unity, peace, and progress across the state.
