Keston Okoro Hails Oborevwori Over Successful APC Stakeholders’ Meeting In Asaba

APC chieftain and National President of the National Renewed Hope Movement (NRM), Hon. Dr. Liege Lord Keston Okoro Muhammed Al-Amin, has commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders’ meeting held on Sunday in Asaba, describing it as a landmark gathering that unified the political class in Delta State under one formidable leadership.

Speaking with newsmen after the meeting, Hon. Keston Okoro expressed delight at the peaceful and result-oriented manner in which the meeting was conducted, noting that it brought together major political stakeholders across Delta State, thereby consolidating harmony between old and new APC members.

He noted that the meeting addressed critical issues bordering on the unity, peace, and progress of the state ahead of the 2027 general elections, stressing that the concerns over the collapse of the PDP structure into the APC and fears of marginalization of old APC members have now been effectively laid to rest.

The former lawmaker lauded Governor Oborevwori for demonstrating maturity and inclusiveness in managing divergent interests, ensuring that every stakeholder left the meeting satisfied and hopeful for the future.

According to him, the massive endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for re-election by all stakeholders at the meeting signals a new dawn in Delta politics, adding that with the opposition factor now neutralized, “Delta State has become one big political family.”

Hon. Keston Okoro also urged all aspirants within the APC to pursue their ambitions with discipline, decency, and total commitment to the party’s ideals, assuring that the 2027 elections will be a “walkover” for the APC given the unprecedented unity in the state.

Meanwhile, the National Renewed Hope Movement (NRM) has condemned the planned nationwide protest by Omoyele Sowore and some IPOB leaders over the continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu, describing it as politically motivated and aimed at destabilizing the current administration.

Hon. Keston Okoro accused Sowore and his allies of being manipulated by elements seeking sympathy votes from the South-East ahead of the 2027 elections, warning that such divisive tactics will fail as Nigerians are now fully aware of their true motives.

He reaffirmed the NRM’s commitment to supporting the policies and programmes of President Tinubu’s administration, assuring that the group will continue to promote peace, stability, and renewed hope across the country.
