Yuletide Touch: Ukodhiko Connects With Councillors, Party Predecessors as Outreach Hits 24 Wards
….calls for continued support for the President Tinubu, Governor Oborevwori.
In continuation of his Christmas outreach and sustained engagement with grassroots leaders, the Member representing Isoko North and South Federal Constituency, Rep. Jonathan Ajirioghene Ukodhiko, has hosted a broad spectrum of political stakeholders from across Isoko Nation in an atmosphere marked by unity, reflection and shared purpose.
The gathering, held at Rep. Ukodhiko’s country home in Erawha-Owhe, brought together serving councillors and their immediate predecessors, incumbent APC ward chairmen and women, as well as former ward executives from other political platforms who have since aligned with the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Their collective presence underscored a maturing political culture in Isoko Nation, where common purpose continues to outweigh past differences, strengthening internal cohesion and collective responsibility.
Also in attendance were serving councillors from both Isoko North and Isoko South Local Government Areas, alongside former councillors, reinforcing the importance of continuity in grassroots leadership and respect for institutional memory at ward and council levels.
Ward women leaders from across the two local government areas, together with their immediate predecessors, equally graced the occasion.
Addressing them, Rep. Ukodhiko described women as the engine room of the party and urged them to sustain mobilisation, unity and positive engagement within their wards.
He reaffirmed his confidence in their leadership and assured them of his continued support.
Speaking to the councillors and party executives, the Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Science and Technology, said the essence of the gathering was to celebrate the Christmas season with those who form the backbone of grassroots governance and party organisation at the ward level.
He called on them to continue supporting the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, while also soliciting prayers for himself, the President and the Governor.
Rep. Ukodhiko reaffirmed his openness to constructive criticism, encouraged sustained loyalty to the APC, and charged leaders to remain committed to service at the grassroots, even after leaving office, emphasising that leadership is a responsibility that transcends tenure.
Responding on behalf of the councillors, the Leader of the Isoko North Legislative Arm, Hon. Paschal Emeluaha, expressed profound gratitude to Rep. Ukodhiko for the gesture, describing it as timely, reassuring and deeply motivating.
He commended the lawmaker’s inclusive leadership style and unwavering commitment to the welfare of his people.
The gathering ended on a joyful and convivial note, with women leaders expressing their appreciation through songs of goodwill and thanksgiving.
A major highlight of the event was the distribution of bags of rice to councillors and party officials, both serving and former, alongside the ongoing distribution of rice and wrappers across the 24 federal wards, with 100 beneficiaries selected from each ward.
The gesture further reinforced Rep. Ukodhiko’s resolve to ensure that every ward and household shares in the warmth, joy and collective spirit of the Christmas season.
