By Ajiri-Oghene Oreh
Member representing Isoko North and Isoko South Federal Constituency, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko, is organizing a free-training on Computer Based Test (CBT) for candidates of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination in the Constituency.
The Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination being conducted yearly by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is a computer-based standardized examination for prospective undergraduates in Nigeria.
The training, orientation and CBT Mock tests for the candidates being facilitated by Rep. Ukodhiko through his UJA Family Foundation holds at his Erawha-Owhe countryhome in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State.
The free-training is opened to all UTME-candidates of Isoko North and Isoko South Federal Constituency as there are provisions for free transportation for all interested participants.
The one-week free-training commenced on Saturday, 6th April, and it will last till Saturday, 13th April, 2024. The training starts by 8am prompt, daily.
According to the House of Representative member, Hon. Ukodhiko, “the free-CBT-training is part of my interventionist programmes that are aimed at supporting the education of students of my Constituency.
“Earlier this year, we freely enrolled over 400 interested candidates for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) through the UJA Family Foundation which has been paying the school fees of many indigent students of the constituency.
“Also, as a way of encouraging hardwork, academic excellence and distinction we have instituted full tuition-fee-scholarships for candidates we enrolled that will score high in the UTME to study in private universities in the country.
“Again, I have sponsored bills on the floor of the House of Representatives for the establishment of federal tertiary institutions in the Constituency, which are also part of my modest contribution to educational and human capacity development in Isoko.”
Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko who is the Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Science and Technology, reiterated his commitment to remain responsive to the plights, needs and aspirations of his constituents.
“I must urge candidates of the 2024 UTME of Isoko North and Isoko South Federal Constituency to make use of the ongoing free-full CBT training as there are provisions for free transportation for all participants. I must also encourage my dear candidates to study hard and pass the examination in flying colors.” Ukodhiko added
