Ukodhiko Thanks Isoko People for Solidarity Following MC 2Kingdom Release

In a statement released last night, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko, the member representing Isoko North and South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, expressed his gratitude for the release of his son, Ajirioghene Otagba (alias MC 2Kingdom), who had been detained in connection with allegations of cyberbullying and defamation against Chief Mathew Edevbie, the Group Managing Director of Income Electrix Ltd.

Otagba’s detention was linked to accusations regarding the uncompleted 132KVA substation electrification project in Ozoro. However, after intervention from prominent community figures, including Chief Edevbie, the Isoko people, and political leadership, the young man was released unconditionally.

In his statement, Hon. Ukodhiko commended the Isoko people for their unwavering solidarity and support during this challenging time, emphasizing the importance of unity for the growth and progress of the Isoko Nation. He remarked, “It is in unity that we will achieve the needed desired growth and progress.”

The lawmaker also expressed his sincere thanks to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for his efforts in ensuring the safe release of Otagba. He also acknowledged Chief Mathew Edevbie for listening to the concerns of the Isoko people and granting the unconditional release of the young man.

Hon. Ukodhiko called for the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to reassess its priorities following the incident and to expedite the process of ensuring that the contractor responsible for the 132KVA substation electrification project returns to site. He stressed that the project’s timely completion is crucial for the benefit of the Isoko community.

The lawmaker concluded with a call for continued unity and collective action to drive the development of the Isoko people and ensure that vital infrastructure projects are completed for the betterment of the region.
