Ukodhiko Joins Nigerians To Celebrate Solomon Ogba At 65
Member representing Isoko Federal Constituency, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko has felicitated with the Vice President of Nigeria Olympic Committee, Chief Solomon Ogba on his 65th birth anniversary.
In a statement on Thursday at Abuja, the National Assemly member, stated that, “Chief Ogba remains Nigeria’s most celebrated Sports administrator in modern Nigerian sports history “
Hon. Ukodhiko noted, “The Athletics guru and former President of Athletics Federation of Nigeria, Ogba, redefined sports management in the country, and the continent, serving as Chairman, Marketing and Media Rights Commission of the Confederation of African Athletics.”
The Federal legislator praised Ogba for charting a progressive path for the development of sports in the country as President of Bobsled and Skeletons Federation, and earlier as President of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria.
“I must commend our elder-statesman in sports, Chief Solomon Ogba for turning the fortune of Delta State Sports for good as the State Commissioner for Sports for eight years.
“I recall, when he served as Commissioner on the Governing Board of the NDDC, he deployed his wealth of experience in tackling youth restiveness in the Niger Delta region through sports programmes”
According to the House of Representatives member, “Chief Ogba is a down-to-earth political leader, a bridge builder, patriot, a pan-Isoko, whose footprint remains indelible on the sand of time.”
Hon. Ukodhiko said; “ On behalf of my family, the leaders and people of Isoko Federal Constituency, I heartily felicitate with a widely respected sports administrator and astute political leader, Evang. Solomon Omamoezi Ogba (JP) on his 65th birth anniversary, praying for long life and good health for our iconic Isoko patriot.”
