Ukodhiko Honors Former Delta Governor James Ibori On His 66th Birthday

Member representing Isoko North/South Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko, has congratulated former Delta Governor, Chief James Ibori on his 66th birth anniversary.

Ukodhiko in a statement on Sunday, described the second civilian Governor of the State as a renowned economist, public policy expert, foremost Niger Delta nationalist and a bridge-building politician of no mean repute.

He stated, “Your Excellency, today offers me an opportunity to commend you for the giant strides you took in the laying of the foundation of a modern which successive administrations have had cause to build on.

“Through deliberate policies and programmes, you fostered unity, oneness, brotherliness among the people of the State, and you ensured equitable distributions of public infrastructures to the three senatorial districts.”

The House of Representatives member extolled the former Governor Ibori for his doggedness, astuteness, tenacity, perseverance, resilience, courage, patriotism, and political sagacity.

Lauding the former Delta Governor’s immeasurable contributions to national development, Hon. Ukodhiko said, “we appreciate the significant role you played in the crusade for resource control and true federalism which attest to your towering credentials as a federalist.

“We in Isoko, take cognizance of your efforts just as we appreciate your pan-Deltan disposition, promotion of social justice, equity and fairness particularly in the areas of infrastructures, human capital development, and political appointments as Governor.

“On behalf of my family and people of Isoko North /South Federal Constituency, we celebrate with our brother, dependable leader and elder statesman, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, former Governor of Delta State on the occasion of your 66th birth anniversary.

“Your Excellency, as you celebrate today, it is our prayer to God Almighty to endow you with good health, strength and wisdom in your continuous service to our beloved state, Niger Delta region, and Nigeria at large,” Hon. Ukodhiko prayed.
