Ukodhiko Expresses Appreciation To UNIBEN Alumni Association For Distinguished Alumnus Award

The Member representing Isoko Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko, has expressed deep appreciation to the Council and entire membership of the University of Benin Alumni Association for conferring on him the prestigious Distinguished Alumnus (DA) award during the 2025 Global Homecoming ceremony.

In a heartfelt note of gratitude, Hon. Ukodhiko described the recognition as a profound honour and a significant milestone in his personal and public service journey. He extolled the University of Benin as an institution of exceptional repute with an enduring legacy of academic excellence, moral discipline, and the grooming of distinguished personalities who continue to make notable contributions across various sectors nationally and globally.

According to him, the Alumni Association has continued to uphold the University’s proud traditions by fostering unity, excellence, and service among its members through its impactful initiatives and engagements.

“I am sincerely humbled and honoured to be found worthy of the Distinguished Alumnus award. This recognition is not only a privilege but also a call to greater service for the advancement of our alma mater, the alumni community, and our beloved nation,” he stated.

Hon. Ukodhiko also extended appreciation to his supportive wife, friends, and kinsmen who accompanied him to Benin for the award presentation, as well as those who celebrated with him from various locations. He prayed for God’s blessings upon everyone who shared in his joy.

He further congratulated his fellow awardees, wishing them a memorable and fulfilling celebration.
