Udu Council Boss Rolls Out Support Package for APC Ward, LGA Executives

The Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, JP, FCIA, on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, hosted the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Udu where he announced a series of empowerment and support initiatives aimed at strengthening grassroots governance and party administration.

The Udu APC Local Government Area Chairman, Hon. David Ogheneochuko Siloko led members of the LGA Executive Committee alongside Ward Chairmen on a courtesy and appreciation visit to the council boss at his office.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Hon. Siloko commended Oyibode for his pivotal role in their emergence as Ward Chairmen and LGA Executives, describing his leadership as instrumental to the unity and progress of the party in Udu.

On his part, the Udu Council boss, Oyibode appreciated the visit and reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive leadership and effective collaboration with party structures. He announced empowerment support for the expanded Udu LGA executives to enhance their operational efficiency and pledged to provide logistics assistance to enable regular monthly ward meetings.

The council chairman emphasized the need for synergy within the party, urging Ward Chairmen to engage leaders and political appointees in their respective wards to actively contribute to meetings. He stressed that any leader who fails to support such collective efforts does not demonstrate true leadership.

On constituency development, Oyibode disclosed that funds had been released to all twenty councillors in the local government area to execute constituency projects aimed at improving the welfare of the people at the grassroots.

As part of the visit, the party executives led by the APC LGA Chairman Hon. Siloko were taken on a tour of the infrastructural developments in the council secretariat. During the tour, they lauded the council chairman for turning the Secretariat into a hub of construction activities, expressing admiration for the quality and pace of projects executed since Oyibode assumed office. The delegation was particularly impressed with the visible transformation and the strategic approach to development in the council secretariat.

Hon. Siloko on behalf of the LGA Executives and Ward Chairmen further commended Oyibode’s developmental strides and visionary leadership. He also praised the people of Udu for electing a chairman committed to transforming Udu into an enviable model of local governance.

The visit underscored the growing synergy between the Udu APC leadership and the local government administration, with stakeholders expressing optimism for sustained development and political cohesion in the area.
