Udu APC Congress Ends Peacefully as Siloko Emerges Consensus Chairman, Oyibode Hails Stakeholders Unity.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State today Wednesday, February 11, 2026, successfully conducted its Local Government Congress, which produced Rt. Hon. Evangelist David Siloko as the consensus Chairman of the party in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.

Speaking shortly after the congress, the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun(Hon.), Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode JP, described the exercise as peaceful, transparent and guided by a strong spirit of unity among party stakeholders.

Oyibode noted that leaders and members of the party worked in one direction to achieve a common goal, emphasizing that the process reflected the collective will of APC faithful in Udu. He also commended the outgoing APC Chairman in Udu Mr. David Rherobore for accepting the outcome of the congress in good faith.

According to him, the emergence of a consensus candidate demonstrated the maturity of the party and the willingness of its members to place party interest above personal ambitions.

“Politics is about the people, and the voice of the people is the voice of God. That is why everyone embraced the decision peacefully,” he said.

He further stated that the party is now focused on strengthening its structures at all levels while intensifying mobilization efforts ahead of future elections.

“Our decision is clear we are united and determined to massively support and vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, and all candidates that will emerge under the platform of the APC,” Oyibode added.

On leadership positions within the party, the council Chairman explained that fairness and inclusiveness guided the distribution of offices such as Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Youth Leader, and Woman Leader, a development he said contributed to the overall satisfaction and harmony among members.
