Tinubu ashamed of APC’s performance – Askia

Nigerians have been asked to open their eyes to see that the presidential candidate of the APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is not campaigning on the basis of the record of achievement of his party in government because he is ashamed of their performance.

The call was made by a top chieftain of the PDP, Bashorun Askia Ogieh, at Emede, Isoko South LGA, when the PDP campaign train stormed the community on its ward to ward visit.

Askia pointed out that if the APC had performed well as the ruling party, its presidential candidate would have been proudly flaunting their achievements but he has decided to avoid that direction.

“Tinubu served as Governor of Lagos State more than two decades ago but he has opted to campaign on the basis of the development of Lagos rather than with the record of performance of his party at the Federal level.

“Nigerians should ask themselves why Tinubu is not campaigning on the basis of the record of performance of his party at the Federal level. It is because he knows that the APC has performed very badly and brought untold hardship to Nigerians in virtually every aspect of life. They have managed the economy so badly that there is so much poverty, hunger, insecurity in the land. From the price of fuel to the price of food items, the hardship the APC has inflicted on Nigerians is unbearable.

“But even the Lagos Tinubu is using to campaign was neither developed by him nor by the party. Whatever development we see in Lagos was achieved when it was the federal capital and the investments were done by previous federal administrations.

“Tinubu knows that the APC government has failed Nigerians. Therefore, Nigerians should shine their eyes and not allow them to return a second time to keep us on their bad ways.

“The only party that can salvage the situation is the PDP. The PDP had set the country on good footing before the APC came and destroyed everything we had going for us but Atiku Abubakar and Governor Okowa are here to rescue and reset the nation.”
