SSA To Delta State Governor Vivian Ogheneovo Urges Leaders To Put Service Before Self.
By Henry Ubus.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Women Mobilization, Vivian Ogheneovo has emphasized that true leadership is rooted in service, humility and a sincere commitment to people rather than titles or positions.
Ogheneovo who shared the message on her social media platforms at the start of the new week noted that over time she has come to understand that leadership is not defined by recognition or status, but by the willingness to serve others selflessly.
According to her, one of the most profound lessons on leadership can be drawn from the example of Jesus Christ, who humbled Himself to wash the feet of His disciples as a demonstration of service and humility.
She explained that the act symbolizes the essence of true authority, which she said is not built on pride or position but on the readiness to serve and uplift others.
“Leadership is not an agenda to be proud of, but a responsibility that calls for patience, compassion and sincere commitment to people,” she stated.
Reflecting further, the SSA expressed gratitude for the opportunity to continue contributing to the growth and development of society, adding that her guiding principle remains the belief that service must always come before self.
