Chief Edema, who also serves as the Coordinator of Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Ward 7, made this appeal on Thursday, April 9, 2026, while addressing journalists in Udu.

He emphasized that Dr. Sakpra’s wealth of experience and outstanding track record in public service have earned him widespread confidence and admiration among the people.

According to Edema, Dr. Sakpra’s tenure as a two-time Commissioner in Delta State, as well as his service as former Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, remains impactful and memorable. He noted that the developmental strides and administrative competence demonstrated during those periods continue to resonate strongly with the people of Udu and the wider Delta State.

Chief Edema further stated that a public declaration of intent would not only energize Dr. Sakpra’s supporters but also provide clear direction for stakeholders and constituents who believe in his capacity to deliver effective representation at the State Assembly.

Describing him as a seasoned administrator and grassroots politician, Edema expressed confidence that Dr. Sakpra’s leadership qualities, if brought to bear at the legislative level, would greatly benefit the Udu Constituency.

He concluded by urging well-meaning leaders, stakeholders, and youths across Udu to rally behind credible and experienced individuals capable of driving sustainable development and amplifying the voice of the people at the state level.
