Oyibode Resolves Land Dispute Between Helen Akaroegbe and Owhase Community.
The Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Area, Olorogun(Hon.), Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, JP FCIA has successfully brokered peace in a longstanding land dispute between Mrs. Helen Akaroegbe and the Owhase Community.
The intervention, which took place today Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the Council Secretariat brought an end to a protracted disagreement over a small parcel of land that had lingered unresolved despite the involvement of several stakeholders.
According to reports, the dispute, which had generated tension within the community, was amicably settled through the proactive efforts of the council chairman. Oyibode known for his grassroots engagement and commitment to peacebuilding, facilitated dialogue between the parties, ensuring that all concerns were carefully addressed.
In settling the dispute, the Udu Council boss adopted a mature and diplomatic approach, emphasizing fairness, mutual understanding, and community harmony. His intervention ultimately led to a resolution that was acceptable to both Mrs. Akaroegbe and representatives of the Owhase Community.
Following the agreement, both parties expressed satisfaction with the process and outcome, commending Oyibode for his wisdom, patience, and leadership in handling the matter. They described the resolution as timely and necessary for sustaining peace and unity in the area.
