Oyibode Reaffirms Udu’s Peaceful Climate, Invites Investors at Owhoru Ist Rites of Passage

The Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun(Hon)
Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode JP, FCIA, has reiterated the peaceful state of Udu Local Government Area and extended a clarion call to investors and stakeholders to take advantage of the prevailing tranquility and unity in the area.
Speaking yesterday Tuesday 05/08/25
at Otor-Udu during the second day of the final rites of passage for the late pioneer monarch of Udu Kingdom, HRH Barrister Bethel Otete Delekpe JP, the council boss emphasized that Udu remains a haven for peaceful coexistence and progressive development.
In his words, “Udu, as we speak, is a very peaceful place. You can walk freely at any time of the day without fear. There are no security patrols on every corner not because they’re not needed, but because peace has been embraced by the people.”
Olorogun Oyibode, who is widely acknowledged as a unifier, encouraged sons and daughters of Udu, as well as friends of the kingdom, to participate fully in today’s “Day of Tributes and Night of Praise” ceremony scheduled as part of the activities in honour of the departed royal father.
“There is a wonderful lineup of activities prepared. I urge every Udu son and daughter, as well as non-indigenes residing among us, to join hands in celebrating the life and legacies of our revered monarch,” he added.
According to the council chairman, his leadership is firmly anchored on the principles of peace, unity, and empowerment particularly for the grassroots and the Jedi communities. “I am a man of unity. I stand for unity, promote unity, and live by it,” he said.
He further urged all residents, regardless of ethnic or political backgrounds, to continue upholding peace and unity as tools for community advancement.
“Look around you’ll see the love being shared and the unity among us. Even those who once stood on opposing sides are now united, fighting not against each other, but for love, peace, and progress,” he noted.
With the current atmosphere of calm and cooperation, Oyibode said Udu is ripe for economic opportunities and assured prospective investors of a friendly and secure environment.
