Oyibode Applauds Strangers Driving Udu’s Growth Over Unruly Indigenes
The Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun (Hon.) Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, JP FCIA, has emphasized that any stranger residing in Udu who abides by the laws and contributes positively to the development of Udu Kingdom is more valuable than an indigene who engages in activities that disrupt peace and progress.
Speaking during an interactive session with stakeholders, recently in Udu, Olorogun Oyibode stated that development and peace are the cornerstones of a prosperous society. He urged all residents, both indigenes and non-indigenes, to focus on fostering harmony and contributing to the growth of Udu Kingdom.
“Udu is a land of peace and opportunities, and we welcome everyone willing to follow our laws and work for the betterment of the community. A stranger who obeys our laws and attracts development to Udu is more indigene than an indigene who causes trouble. Let us prioritize unity and development above all,” Oyibode said.
He further reiterated his administration’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for investors and residents alike, calling on stakeholders to discourage any acts capable of hindering the council’s efforts to transform Udu into a model local government.
The Udu Chairman’s statement has been lauded by many as a call for inclusivity and a reminder that actions, not mere origin, define true commitment to a community.
