Onyeme Doles Out Over N22M Scholarship To Undergraduates
The Chairman, Monday Onyeme’s Foundation Sir Monday Onyeme in line with his commitment towards supporting the educational growth of the People has doled out over Twenty-Two Million Naira Scholarship to 218 Undergraduates from different higher Institutions of learning who hailed from Ndokwa Nation.
It could be recalled that the great philanthropist and astute Politician Sir Monday Onyeme kick-started his Annual Scholarship Award since 2016 through the Monday Onyeme’s Foundation where beneficiaries was first as at 2016 selected from Ward 5, Onicha-Ukwuani, Ndokwa West LGA and later extended to all the Wards in Ndokwa West, Ndokwa East and Ukwuani Local Government Area.
Speaking at the weekend Saturday 13/8/22 at Utagba-Ogbe Grammar School, Kwale during the Presentation of Cheques to the beneficiaries, Onyeme Promised not to derail in his Annual Scholarship Programme adding that he will continue to do his best not only to boost the academic performance of Ndokwa Sons and daughters in higher Institutions of learning but will also uplift the living standards of the people.
While Congratulating the beneficiaries who came out successful, he admonished them to distance themselves from any anti-social behaviours that will truncate their academic pursuits adding that education remains the bedrock of any society, hence, they must be serious with their studies so that they can become useful to themselves, their parents and the society at large.
According to him, 500 Undergraduates Participated in the aptitude test and 218 were selected based on merits and a transparent process, We have come to present Cheques to the 218 beneficiaries of the Monday Onyeme’s 2022 Annual Scholarship Award.
“The Monday Onyeme’s Scholarship Award is birthed on the value i placed on education and it’s to support the Stronger Delta Agenda of the Okowa’s led administration in the area of education and i will not relent in my contributions in boosting the educational growth of the People” Onyeme enthused
He commended the House of Assembly Member Representing Ndokwa West Constituency Hon Charles Emetulu, Chief Lucky Ossai, Chief Henry Morka, Chief Ugochukwu, Chief Godson Obi for their contributions to the Monday Onyeme’s Scholarship Award.
The Delta North PDP Chairman who happens to be the Chairman of the Occasion, Mr Moses Iduh, the Honourable Commissioner for Economic Planning Hon. Dr. Barry Pere Gbe, the Honourable Commissioner for Secondary Education Mrs. Rose Ezewu who was ably represented by the Director of Secondary School, Mrs Ufuoma Ojumah, the Delta State People’s Democratic Party PDP Secretary Hon Dan Ossai, the Chairman, Ukwuani Local Government Council, Hon (Barr) Ajede Possible in their Seperate remark commended Sir Monday Onyeme for his uncommon contributions towards the educational excellence of Students across Ndokwa Nation.
