ONYEME DECORATED AS GRAND PATRON OF POCACOV

The National Coordinator of the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices, POCACOV CSP Ebere Amaraizu has decorated the Executive Chairman, Delta State Internal Revenue Service Sir Monday John Onyeme has grand patron of POCACOV.

Speaking yesterday 17/11/21 at the Revenue Service Headquarters, CSP Ebere explained that POCACOV was an initiative conceived by the Inspector-General of Police out of the desire to curb crime through the principle of Community Oriented Policing adding that POCACOV as a campaign and advocacy group, became necessary as evidence had shown that cultism, drug abuse and other vices had left tertiary institutions and has penetrated in all spheres of human endeavours.

According to him, the aim of the advocacy is to sensitise members of the public on the dangers of cultism, Drug Abuse, to reawaken the security consciousness of the general public as well as to inculcate moral values in our youths, also to seek for the support of relevant stakeholders on the needs to support POCACOV towards curbing the menace of cultism and other social vices.

While commending Sir Monday John Onyeme for the giant strides recorded thus far , he said POCACOV is working with stakeholders to mobilise in the advocacy, sensitization, mentoring on the needs to curbed crime in our society, he highlighted different states where the programme has been launched.

In response, the Executive Chairman, Delta State Internal Revenue Service Sir Monday John Onyeme thanked the National Coordinator and Members of POCACOV for finding him worthy to be the grand PATRON, he described the body POCACOV as a solution organ against violent acts which he said its very commendable.
