Okowa Empowers 227 Women through Women Empowerment Skills Acquisition Programme WESAP.

The Delta State Government on monday presented starter packs to 227 beneficiaries who graduated from its Women Empowerment Skills Acquisition Programme WESAP to establish them in their chosen businesses.
The Delta State Governor Sen Ifeanyi Okowa represented by his chief of staff Rt Hon Ovie Festus Agas while presenting the starter packs to 227 beneficiaries congratulated them and urged them to be good ambassador.
The governor promised to continue with the women empowerment to reduce suffering among women.
The Commisioner for women Affairs Hon Mrs Flora Alatan while speaking noted that  a total of 227 graduates (Women) drawn from the 25 Local Government areas across the state were empowered with start up packs in various areas of skills which include Confectioneries , Make Over, Igele tying and Event Management.
She said that empowerment of women play diverse rules in the overall well-being of the society beginning from the home front.
The Permanent Secretary Of the Ministry Mrs Kevwe Agas also congratulated the beneficiaries.
