Ojakovo Remains Undisputed Leader of Ethiope East APC — Omaraye

By Philip Onome
FORMER Commissioner for Finance and Housing during Chief James Onanefe lbori’s administration, Chief Love Okeoghene Ojakovo remains undisputed and confirmed leader of the All Progressives Congress APC, Ethiope East local government area of Delta state.
Comrade Terry Oj. Omaraye who made the statement while speaking to journalists in Isiokolo, headquarters of Ethiope East local government, said the leadership of Chief Love Okeoghene Ojakovo has been before the coming of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and his supporters from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP into the All Progressives, APC.
Omaraye said Chief Ojakovo has shown a high level of commitment, steadfastness and sacrifices towards the growth of the party in EthiopeEast, and has also worked assiduously for the party during the 2023 general elections, which he said has proven Chief Ojakovo as the leader of the party APC in Ethiope East without mincingwords.
Speaking further, Comrade Omaraye said as a leader of the Ethiope East All Progressives Congress APC, Chief Love Ojakovo has all privileges and rights to speak and directs on any issue as it relates to APC affairs for the betterment and overall development of the party in Ethiope East local government area.
Chief Ojakovo had in the course of his leadership, presented the symbol (Broom) of the party to other party leaders in other wards such as Orhoakpo where Chief Tony Oboroh was present and other wards without any form of oproar or arguments, saying that why would that of Ovu Ward 5 raise dust.
Speaking further, Omaraye said, “It is disappointing to observe that certain individuals who profess allegiance to the Governor are not committed to the unity or progress of the APC. Their actions reflect a deliberate attempt to hijack the party structure and displace those who have labored tirelessly to sustain the party at the local level.
“These individuals, under the guise of loyalty to the Governor, have demonstrated intentions that are not aligned with the core values and democratic ethos of the APC. Rather than fostering unity and building on existing party structures, they are sowing seeds of discord and seeking to undermine authentic leaders like Hon. Chief Elder Love Okeoghene Ojakovo.
“Any attempt to disregard or downplay the leadership of Chief Love Okeoghene Ojakovo is an affront to the stability and unity of the APC in Ethiope East. Such actions only serve to deepen division within the party and threaten the collective vision for growth and development.
“It is important to recall that Hon. Chief Love Ojakovo has been at the forefront of piloting the affairs of the APC in Ethiope East long before the recent influx of individuals who are now seeking to dominate the party without respect for existing leadership.
“I therefore call on His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to urgently carry out a comprehensive assessment and evaluation of the Governor and his supporters in Delta State.
“Their true intentions must be scrutinized, as there is credible concern that their allegiance to the APC is not based on genuine commitment, but rather a desire to seize control of party structures that they did not build.
“Furthermore, I urge the National Chairman of the APC to take decisive steps to protect the integrity of the party at the grassroots level. Those who joined the APC recently must be cautioned against undermining those who have long been the backbone of the party.
“In conclusion, Chief Love Ojakovo remains the undisputed, authentic, and democratically recognized leader of the APC in Ethiope East Local Government Area. Any attempt to challenge or displace his leadership will be seen as an act of political sabotage and an insult to the party faithful in the region.”
