“My administration will make provision for adequate job opportunities for youths and women in Ethiope East – Jessa”
The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) Chairmanship Hopeful for Ethiope East Local Government Council in the 2024 Delta State LG Poll, Chief (Amb) Harrison Oghenebrorie Jessa has stressed the importance of empowering the youths and women in every society. According to Chief Jessa, “the agility and capability of our youths and women must be transformed into economic productivity and maximised for development. Therefore, if elected as Chairman of Ethiope East LG Council, my administration shall strive to empower the youths and women with economic skills and entrepreneurship programmes”.
On the strategy to actualise the plans, Chief Jessa stated that, “we shall put in place functional skill acquisition centres in line with the Delta State Governor Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori’s MORE agenda to train and empower our youths and women with starter kits”.
The Ode-esiri of Oruarivie-Abraka Kingdom further assured that the youths and women would be given the opportunities to enroll into any of the following programmes: Computer hardware repairs; Catering & confectionary; Electrical installation & repairs; Barbing; Bead-making; Decoration & event management; Hair-dressing/Make-over; Fashion design/tailoring; Tiling; Painting; Block moulding; Plaster of Paris (POP); Vulcanizing; Welding & fabrication; Furniture-making/Upholstery; Electronics repairs; Plumbing; Carpentry and Cosmetology.
