Koko Community Embrace Voter Registration after Ojoede’s call
By Philip Onome
The entire Koko Community in Warri North of Delta State, has unanimously agreed to participate in the ongoing INEC voters’ card registration exercise.
This collective resolve came after Dr. Oritsegbegbemi Maurice OjoEde, Executive Assistant on Political to the Governor of Delta State, passionately urged the people to take advantage of the exercise ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In his address, Dr. Ojo-Ede reminded the gathering that “your vote is your power”, stressing the importance of political participation in shaping the destiny of their community and state. His words stirred unity and determination among the people, who responded with loud cheers and a firm commitment to ensure every eligible citizen registers and secures their Permanent Voters Card (PVC).
He further reaffirms and emphasized the unwavering commitment of the government to the welfare and development of the people. He highlighted several visible benefits already provided, including free water supply through boreholes, free JAMB registration for 1,000 indigent students, skill acquisition initiatives, empowerment programs, business grants, scholarships, and medical support.
Dr. Ojo-Ede assured the people that these interventions are only the beginning, as the government remains determined to do even more in uplifting lives and improving the well-being of communities across Delta State. He encouraged the people of Koko to continue showing their support and faith in the administration of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborovweri, noting that the government’s priority is to make governance felt directly at the grassroots.
