Jite Procures Medical Equipments Worth Over 20 Million Naira for Aladja Health Centre.

As part of efforts to boost healthcare services in Udu Local Government, the Executive Chairman of Udu local Government Council and Udu PDP House of Assembly Candidate in the forthcoming 2023 general elections, Hon. Chief Jite Brown (JP) has procured and delivered medical equipment worth over twenty million naira for Aladja Primary Health Centre.

Chief Jite Brown said the initiative was to upgrade the facility to a standard Primary Healthcare Centre.

The state-of-art medical equipment were first received at the Secretariat of Udu Local Government, Otor-Udu.

The equipment include several hospital beds, artery forceps, angle poised lamp, bedpan, dissecting forceps, thermometers, tongue depressors, urinary catheters, syringes and needles, kidney dishes, episotomy scissors amongst for female and children Ward, labour Ward, Laboratory, Family Planning, Cleaning and Utilization.

Others such a first stage room, antenatal and interview room, dressing and injection room, consulting cubicles, and record unit were also delivered to the infant and Child welfare unit.

After thorough inspection by the officials and health officers of the Udu Council including the Executive Secretary of the Udu Primary Health Authority, Dr Eric Jarikre, they were taken to the Aladja Primary Health Centre where they would be used to meet the health needs of the residents and others across Udu Local Government Area.

Speaking during the delivery, Hon. Chief Jite Brown, represented by his Vice, Barrister Mrs. Eloho Awinoro said the procurement is to improve the healthcare service to the people of Aladja Town and other communities in Udu Local Government Area.

He reiterated that his administration is determined to boost the fortunes of the people of the Council in all areas.

Further more, the council boss enjoined the medical personnel at the Aladja Primary Health Centre and the people of the town to judiciously use of the facilities in order to enjoy maximum effects of the equipment.

Receiving the supplies, the matron of the Aladja Primary Health Centre, Mrs. Omotekovie Omoraka who was overwhelmed with happiness said the delivery of the facilities was prayers answered.

Mrs Omoraka poured encomiums on the Chairman of Udu Local Government, Chief Jite Brown for his gesture to upgrade the facility to international level.
