Iteire’s wife donates bags, sandals, books to Isoko North Pupils
The wife of Isoko-North Council Chairman, Comrade (Deaconess) Gloria Iteire on Monday, began ward to Ward distribution of branded school material to indigent pupils in the Local Government Area as a way of encouragement in their academic pursuit.
The school materials, which were fairly distributed to Primary Pupils by Mrs Iteire included sandals, waterbottles, school stockings, and a bag which had inside, notebooks, mathematical sets, erasers, pens amongst other writing materials.
In her brief remarks during the presentations at Uthato Primary School, Akiewhe, Atebo Primary School, Oghara-Iyede, Ekrovie Primary School Otor-Iyede, Oghenerurie Primary School, Oghenerurie-Iyede, and Emehwa Primary School, Emevor on September 27, 2021, the wife of the Isoko North Council Boss, stated, that, the items would not only boost the morale of the pupils, but, also, enhanced their learning skills.
She disclosed that, she was moved to embark on the educational project after seeing the pains pupils do go through, some going to Schools on barefoots, and others turning up in schools on bathroom slippers and improperly dressed with no bags and books to learn with.
Stating that, the educational initiative, geared towards encouraging students and ameliorating the Pupils’ plights, was a demonstration of her vision and the commitment of the administration of her husband in improving the educational sector in the Isoko North Local Government Area.
While appreciating the Council Chairman, Hon Christian Othuke Iteire for his support to the worthy cause, Deaconess Gloria Iteire urged the pupils to be of a good character always and study hard to be illustrious sons and daughters of their respective homes and communities.
In their separate remarks, the Heads of the Primary School visited, expressed appreciation to the Council Chairman’s wife for the noble gesture, for caring for Pupils in the local government and seeing to it they have secured and brightened future.
The Chairman’s wife was accompanied by the Chief whip of the Isok North Legislative Arm, Hon Abel Akpokorie, the member representing Oyede Ward 2 in the Legislative Arm, Hon Onoriode Ofabor, the Wife of the Secretary to the Isoko North Local Government Council, Mrs Ido Juliet, the Head, Community Development Department, Isoko North Council,Mrs Kome Ezoh, the Women Development Officer, Isoko North Council, Mrs P.A. Akpotereno, the Personal Assistant to the Chairman, Mr Joseph Ovueferie Joseph amongst other Senior Staff of the Department of Community Development.
