I will continue to pray for Okowa – Ekabo

The Parish Priest of St Matthias Catholic Church, Uzere, Rev Fr Dr Christopher Ekabo, JP has given reasons why he will continue to pray for the Governor of Delta State and PDP’s Vice Presidential Candidate, Sen Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa.

Ekabo ascribed the rise of Okowa in the political leadership ladder as an act of God.

According to Ekabo, “Okowa rose from a Councillor to Executive Chairman and later climbed to become Honourable Commissioner in Delta State. God also saw him to become the Secretary to the State Government and Distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It was at this point of his life that I met him one-on-one and became his close friend and collaborator”.

Ekabo further revealed that, “God was not done with the Distinguished Senator Ifeanyi Okowa. He elevated him to become the two term Executive Governor of Delta State. The god-fearing Governor has remarkable records of excellent performance to his credit. It was based on these plus his humility and leadership prowess that attracted him to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples’ Democratic Party to make him their choice of the Vice Presidential Candidate of the Party for the 2023 Presidential elections”.

Rev Fr Ekabo was sure that “the actions and activities of Sen Dr Ifeanyi Okowa since his inauguration on 29th May, 2015 as the Executive Governor of Delta State meritoriously elicited various positive cognomen, aliases and accolades: the Road Master, Empowerment Guru, Bridge Builder, Ekwueme 1 of the Universe, First Class Christian, Son of the Church, Man of Charity, Generosity Personified, Talk-na-Do, Promise Keeper, Man of Peace and Gentility”.

Ekabo also highlighted performance of the Okowa’s administration in last seven years, “the State has witnessed a vibrant and energetic atmosphere of growth and development stride. So far, I must confess, Governor Okowa has done very well. He has impressed me tremendously with his performance in governance. I therefore applaud Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa’s bold steps in taking the State to higher grounds.

Fr Ekabo was also confident that Nigeria will do well when Okowa is elected as the Vice president. ” I therefore congratulate Governor Okowa and give him my prayers and blessings”.
