FLOODING : DTSG EXTENDS CLOSURE OF UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY BY TWO WEEKS
By Promise Ogana
Delta State Government (DTSG) has extended the temporary closure of the Delta State University of Science and Technology in Ozoro for another two weeks as a result of the ravaging flood that has affected most parts of the school.
The Commissioner for Higher Education, Dr. Kingsley Ashibogwu, made this known in his office in Asaba when the Vice Chancellor of the Institution paid him an official visit.
Announcing the extension of the closure of the school for another two weeks, the commissioner stated that it was hoped that the flood would have receded within the next two weeks.
He explained that it was still not safe for students to return to campus as the environment was not conducive enough for learning.
The commissioner assured students and the management of the institution that lectures and academic activities would commence on Friday, November 11, 2022 in the institution.
