In the spirit of reflection, gratitude and festive cheer, Chief Simeon Ohwofa has expressed profound appreciation to Chief Richard Iyede for his resolute and unwavering support during the recently concluded MUGA Project, describing him as “a true Urhobo patriot whose courage and principled stance strengthened the cause at its most critical stages.”
Speaking in an appreciation message made available to Facts Reporters, Chief Ohwofa noted that Chief Iyede exemplified rare qualities of bravery, commitment and selflessness throughout the project, especially during moments of intense pressure and uncertainty.
According to Ohwofa, Chief Iyede remained courageous and steadfast even when intimidation and harassment attempted to weaken morale, adding that his sense of conviction and loyalty inspired confidence among the entire team.
“At moments when resolve was tested, you stood firm for what was right and just. Your encouragement, grounded in conviction and selflessness, strengthened the morale of the team and reaffirmed our belief that the Urhobo Nation is blessed with men of honour and integrity,” Ohwofa stated.
He further stressed that Chief Iyede’s contribution would remain indelible in the chronicles of the project and in the collective memory of all who witnessed his commitment, noting that “history will not forget the role you played when it truly mattered.”
Chief Ohwofa concluded by extending warm festive greetings to Chief Iyede:
“Thank you for standing tall when it truly mattered. We wish you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.”
