Exceptional Leadership of Oyibode Earns Unanimous Vote of Confidence from Udu Legislators”

The 8th Assembly of the Udu Legislative Arm, led by Rt. Hon. Apunu Henry, has formally passed a vote of confidence on the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun (Hon.) Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, JP FCIA. The decision was reached during a plenary session held on November 12, 2024, where lawmakers unanimously acknowledged his transformative and impactful leadership in just 100 days in office.

The Udu Legislative Arm commended Olorogun Oyibode for his remarkable developmental achievements. These include the rehabilitation of the Udu road from Express Junction to Otor Udu Junction, the ongoing construction of a modern office complex for the Council Chairman, the establishment of the Council Chapel, and the acquisition of four brand-new vehicles for administrative and legislative use. These initiatives, among others, highlight his commitment to delivering sustainable development across the local Government Area.

In their address, the lawmakers emphasized Olorogun Oyibode’s visionary approach to governance, which transcends political affiliations. His focus on formalizing and restructuring Udu Kingdom to promote unity, ethical leadership, and organizational cohesion aligns seamlessly with the MORE agenda of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the Executive Governor of Delta State.

The Deputy Leader of the House, Hon. Henry David Eterhi, specifically highlighted Olorogun Oyibode’s decisive actions in resolving long-standing challenges within various Communities. His alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and commitment to fostering peace have been instrumental in uniting stakeholders and ensuring sustainable development.

The motion to pass a vote of confidence was moved by the Majority Leader of the house, Hon. Sele Victor, and seconded by Hon. Joseph Yoregua, JP. Both lawmakers praised Olorogun Oyibode’s ability to strengthen collaboration and forge meaningful connections that drive progress across the Local Government. Following the motion, Rt. Hon. Henry Apunu, the Leader of the Udu Legislative Arm, called for a voice vote, which was met with overwhelming support from the house members.

In a unified statement, the lawmakers expressed their gratitude and confidence in the chairman’s leadership:
