Eterhi Henry to Launch Anti-Social Vices Tour In Udu Secondary Schools July 2

In a determined effort to combat the alarming rise in moral decadence and social vices among students in secondary schools within Udu Local Government Area, the Deputy Leader of the Udu Legislative Arm and Councilor representing DSIEC Ward 05, Hon. David Eterhi Henry, popularly known as Onowu, is set to flag off a Sensitization Tour Across Secondary Schools in Udu on Tuesday, July 2, 2025.

This initiative aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda and the MORE vision of the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, as well as the proactive governance of the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun (Hon.) Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode JP FCIA.

The sensitization campaign is designed to address pressing issues such as cultism, sexual harassment, fighting, vandalization of school property, and other negative behaviors threatening the educational environment. The tour will cover both public and private secondary schools across the Local Government Area.

Speaking on the purpose of the campaign, Hon. Onowu stressed the need for immediate action to rescue the younger generation from the grip of destructive social behaviors.

“We can no longer watch silently while cultism, sexual immorality, hooliganism, and destruction of school facilities become the order of the day among our children. This sensitization tour is a clarion call for students to make better choices and focus on building a bright future,” he stated.

He revealed that the tour will feature interactive sessions, talks by seasoned professionals, and moral instructions carefully tailored to reorient students and empower them with the tools to resist negative peer pressure.

The initiative has already garnered widespread support from stakeholders in the education sector, including parents, teachers, and community leaders, who have praised the project as timely, impactful, and highly commendable.
