Ekabo’s Financial Support For DELSU Students
Fourteen students from the Faculty of Arts, Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka have received N280,000 as financial support for their studies from the Executive Secretary of the Delta State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Rev Fr Dr Christopher Ekabo JP.
The financial support was part of Ekabo’s commitment as the guest minister during the 2024 first semester’s prayer meeting and praise time of the Faculty of Arts, DELSU, Abraka, themed ‘Divine strength for total prevailing and recovery’ (1 Samuel 30:18).
The 14 beneficiaries, Oloruntobi Oluwadamilola Victoria, Eminence Oluchukwu Igbenehi, Aniebonam Faith Chineye, Deme Kelvin Amaebi, James Gift, Amaechi Sarah Ejiroghene, Edah Ufuoma, Okpukoko Felix, Aghwarhievwie Ogheneruona Confidence, Igwe Chinaza Happiness, Innocent Henry Chibuike, Akinsola Daniel Igbayilola, Oghenero Frank Levi and Omononye Favour were selected from the following seven Departments, English and Literary Studies, Fine and Applied Arts, History and International Studies, Languages and Linguistics, Music, Religious Studies and Philosophy and Theatre Arts based on their academic performance.
Ekabo is the Dean of Obiaruku Deanery, Parish Priest of Christ the King Catholic Church, Obiaruku, Chairman of the Ekabo Foundation and Episcopal Vicar for Politics, Public Relations and Government Affairs of the Catholic Diocese of Warri.
