Dr. Oritsegbegbemi Maurice Ojoede Pays Homage to Olu of Warri

Dr. Oritsegbegbemi Maurice Ojoede, founder of OMO foundation, has paid homage to His Royal Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III CFR, the Olu of Warri, in honor of the monarch’s 4th Coronation Anniversary.

The celebration took place at Ode-Itsekiri, often referred to as ‘Big Warri,’ the historic ancestral home of the Itsekiri people. This significant event marked four years of steady leadership, embodying strength, wisdom, and divine grace within the Itsekiri kingdom.

Accompanied by his beloved wife and entourage, Dr. Ojoede congratulated the Olu of Warri on his milestone, acknowledging the contributions he has made towards advocating for and supporting the Itsekiri nation during his reign.

In a display of reverence, Dr. Ojoede and his wife participated in honoring the legacy and vision of His Majesty, pledging their loyalty and prayers for his continued reign in peace, prosperity, and unity.

Addressing journalists after the event, Dr. Ojoede reflected on the significant impact of the Olu of Warri’s leadership since his coronation. “The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III CFR, has made substantial contributions to stabilizing inter-communal relations and promoting peace and unity within the Warri Kingdom,” he remarked.

He further noted the monarch’s dedication to cultural preservation, citing initiatives such as organizing cultural events like the Sigidi dance performance and supporting efforts to uphold the Itsekiri language and heritage.

Additionally, Dr. Ojoede highlighted the king’s commitment to healthcare advancements, including the commissioning of a new hospital in Ugbuwangue aimed at enhancing community health access, as well as the launch of the Royal Iwere Foundation to provide technological and entrepreneurial opportunities for the youth.

He emphasized that the celebration of the Olu of Warri’s 4th coronation anniversary is richly deserved, reiterating his wishes for a prosperous and enduring reign. “Your Majesty, we are so proud of you. Long live the king. Your reign will be great,” he affirmed.

Their presence at the ancestral home not only reflected deep respect for tradition but also underscored a commitment to supporting the Olu’s enduring mission of uplifting the Warri kingdom and its people.
