Dr Maurice Hails Appointment of Barr. Hon. Tonye Timi as SSDC Executive Director.
The Executive Assistant on Political Matters to the Delta State Governor and Founder of OMO Foundation, Dr. Oritsegbegbemi Maurice Ojoede has expressed delight over the appointment of Barr. Hon. Tonye Timi as the Executive Director, Corporate Services, South-South Development Commission (SSDC).
Dr. Ojoede, who attended the swearing-in reception held on Thursday, 28th August 2025, in Abuja, described the appointment as “a recognition of competence, loyalty, and capacity to serve the South-South region and Nigeria at large.”
He commended the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for his consistent leadership and support towards Deltans, while also appreciating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for deeming Barr. Timi worthy of the national assignment.
According to him, the appointment is a clear demonstration that Governor Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda is effective, impactful, and far-reaching. He stressed that it signifies the increasing influence of Deltans in national politics and their meaningful contributions to the growth and development of the Nigerian federation.
