The Delta State Council of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has congratulated the Executive Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, on his emergence as Governor of the Year by Telegraph Newspapers and Leadership Newspapers.
In a joint statement issued by the State Chairman, Comr. Sagboje Odiri Milton, CLN, and the State Public Relations Officer, Comr. Efetobor Henry, the youth body described the awards as well-deserved honours that reflect the Governor’s visionary leadership, purposeful governance, and measurable development strides across the state.
The Council noted that since assuming office, Governor Oborevwori has demonstrated a strong commitment to infrastructure renewal, economic growth, peace and security, and inclusive governance driven by his MORE Agenda.
According to the statement, the recognitions serve as national affirmations of the Governor’s steady, pragmatic, and people-oriented leadership style.
“As the umbrella body of youth organisations in the state, we are proud of the Governor’s sustained investment in youth empowerment, enterprise development, capacity building, and expanded opportunities for young people across the three senatorial districts,” the statement read.
The Council further emphasized that the honour reinforces growing national confidence in Delta State’s development trajectory and ongoing governance reforms.
