Delta State Taskforce Warri And Environs Issues 72-Hour Cleanup Ultimatum to Traders and Shop Owners”
The Delta State Taskforce under the leadership of Olorogun Godspower Asiuwhu In a bid to enhance safety and sanitation today Tuesday 09/04/24 issued a 72-hour abatement notice targeting traders and shop owners in Warri and Environs. This directive, covering areas such as General Hospital Road, Warri/Sapele Road, Main Market, and Hausa Quarters in Warri South LGA, as well as Effurun Roundabout, PTI Junction, and Express Junction in Uvwie LGA, emphasizes the urgent need to clear drains and vacate areas under high tension cables.
The Warri and Environs Coordinator, Mr. Frank Orogun through the directive of the taskforce chairman said that Traders and shop owners are urged to cease trading on walkways, road medians, and roadsides immediately, and to embark on thorough cleaning of their gutters, shops, and surroundings. Failure to comply within the stipulated timeframe may result in enforcement actions.
This proactive measure aims to mitigate safety hazards posed by blocked drains and encroachment on high tension cables, while also enhancing the overall cleanliness and orderliness of these public spaces.
