Delta State Taskforce Chairman, Asiuwhu, Celebrates Dame Edith Okowa at 64

Asaba, Delta State – June 1, 2025
The Chairman of the Delta State Taskforce on Environment, Olorogun & Chief (Mrs) Godspower Omafuvwe Asiuwhu, JP, on Sunday evening, June 1st, 2025, joined other dignitaries and well-wishers to celebrate the 64th birthday anniversary of Dame Edith Okowa, the wife of the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa.
The colorful event, held at the celebrant’s residence in Asaba, was graced by a cross-section of political leaders, women groups, religious leaders, friends, and family members who came together to honor the former First Lady for her immense contributions to humanity, especially through her 05 Initiative, which has impacted thousands of lives across Delta State.
Speaking at the event, Chief Asiuwhu extolled Dame Okowa’s virtues, describing her as “a mother to many, a pillar of strength to her husband, and a beacon of compassion to the less privileged.” He further lauded her unwavering commitment to charitable causes and prayed for God to continue to strengthen and bless her in all her endeavors.
“Dame Edith Okowa remains one of Delta’s finest women of substance. Her legacy of service, humility, and faith speaks volumes. On behalf of my family and the Delta Taskforce on Environment, I say a big congratulations, ma. May your new age usher in more grace, peace, and fulfillment,” Asiuwhu remarked.
The event featured goodwill messages, musical performances, prayers, and a symbolic cutting of the birthday cake, marking a memorable moment in honor of the former First Lady’s life of impact.
