Delta State Security EA Warns Public Against Impersonation Scams
Residents of Delta State are hereby advised to be on high alert following reports of individuals impersonating public servants and politicians in an attempt to defraud citizens. These scammers are falsely promising lucrative contracts and appointments in exchange for money or personal information.
Engr. Udoka Emmanuel Chika-dibie, the Executive Assistant on Security, has issued an official statement warning the public against such fraudulent activities. He emphasized that the Government of Delta State does not employ intermediaries or agents to influence appointments or contracts.
“All official processes, including appointments and contracts, are carried out transparently and directly through the appropriate government channels,” Engr. Chika-dibie said. “We urge everyone to remain vigilant and cautious in their dealings.”
The public is advised to be cautious of unsolicited offers or requests related to contracts and appointments. Anyone who encounters suspicious activity is encouraged to report it to the relevant authorities immediately. A dedicated hotline, 08026723338, has been set up for residents to report any fraudulent incidents.
Residents are further reminded that protection against fraud requires collective awareness and quick reporting of suspicious activities.
Stay safe and protect yourself from fraud.
