DELTA STATE LAUNCHES REGISTRATION DRIVE FOR ARTISANS IN ASABA
The Delta State Government has initiated a comprehensive registration process for migrant laborers and scavengers at the Convergence Centre in Oko, Asaba. This strategic move aims to formalize their employment status and provide them with essential support and opportunities.
Kicking off the registration process, Chief Godspower Omafuvwe Asiuwhu JP, Chairman of the Task Force on Environment, delivered a clarion call to all artisans, laborers, and scavengers operating within the catchment area. He urged them to seize this opportunity and actively participate in the State Government’s program.
The registration drive signifies a significant step towards recognizing and empowering individuals engaged in various forms of informal work. By registering, migrant laborers and scavengers will gain access to a range of benefits, including social services, skill development programs, and financial assistance.
