Delta LGA Polls: Irero Drums Support for Onoriode Ofoni’s Election Victory
By Asuo Felix Isaacs
As the Delta State Local Government election on July 13th, 2024, approaches, Hon. Peter Irero has called on all Sons and Daughters of Uvwie kingdom, particularly in Ugbomro, to massively support Chief Hon. Anthony Onoriode Ofoni, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, and Hon. Andrew Agagbo as Vice Chairman.
Irero emphasized the importance of the LGA election, urging a strong turnout to vote for Chief Ofoni. Addressing newsmen in his Ugbomro Uvwie LGA home, he described Ofoni as a man of integrity and honor, who respects people’s opinions. Irero believes Ofoni’s leadership as Local Government Council Chairman will spur significant infrastructural development, aligning with the M.O.R.E Agenda of the state’s executive Governor, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori JP.
Irero, the CEO of DEL-PET SUPPORT SERVICES LTD and a young politician from Uvwie, views Ofoni’s prospective victory as a triumph for all Uvwie and the PDP. He criticized the All Progressive Congress (APC), stating that the party has failed Nigerians, causing economic hardship. As a former APC member and 2015 Delta State House of Assembly candidate, he stressed the PDP as the best choice, commending Governor Oborevwori’s impressive first year in office.
Calling for massive support for Ofoni and Agagbo, Irero promised to mobilize his supporters for a victory walk across Uvwie. He stressed that with Ofoni and Agagbo in leadership, Uvwie will experience impressive development, complementing the Governor’s M.O.R.E Agenda.
“Uvwie deserves more,” he concluded, rallying support for the PDP and Chief Hon. Anthony Ofoni.
M.O.R.E for Uvwie!
