Delta Commissioner Oyibode Refutes Media Claims of Involvement in Fight Attempt”

The Delta State Commissioner for oil and gas ,Olorogun Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, has denied an online report of his alleged fight attempt during the burial of the mother-in-law of the State Governor..

In a statement issued today in Asaba by his personal assistant, Omoko Vincent and made available to journalists, he described the report as false, fictitious and callous, which according to him, is the handiwork of mischief makers with their evil machination intended to malign his integrity and achieve some devilish aims.

While saying that the Commissioner never engaged in fight as claimed by the faceless writer using online Facebooker, who goes by the name; SouthernVoicenews.com, Omoko Vincent alluded that it was perhaps the plan of the writer and his cohorts to blackmail the Commissioner before his principal the Governor. He therefore challenged them to publish whatever video they have where the commissioner exchange blow with any person or fight with anyone during the event.

The commissioner’s aide, who condemned the false report in strong terms, urged reporters and journalists to ply their trade within the confine of professionalism and ethics of the noble journalism practice.

He added that the report was obviously a hatchet job by some individuals with sinister designs and ill motives calculated to impugn on his rising political profile as nothing close to what was being insinuated ever happened.

He, however, assured Deltans of the Commissioner determination in promoting the activities of the Oil and Gas sector in the state by building peace amongst the host communities and the company as well as influencing into the state capable investors in the oil and Gas sector to create job and employment for all and also increase the oil production from the current baseline to an optimum

“As a commissioner, he will never succumb to detractors who are already threatened by his unwavering impact in the oil and gas sector but will continue to work for the common good of the state to enable the State Governor, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori actualize his MORE agenda for the benefit of all Deltans”, Omoko added, stressing that nothing on earth could make Olorogun Vincent Oyibode engage in street fights as a titled Urhobo Chief and much more a Commissioner in the state government.
