Delta branch Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria disowns alleged female hard drug dealer as member

The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Delta State Branch has disowned a alleged female hard drugs dealer claiming to be one of their members in the State branch of the body.

A disclaimer letter signed by the Chairman of the Delta State Branch, Pharmacist Ogheneovo Aghoja (PhD) and made available to newsmen described the suspected female illicit drugs dealer as an imposter.

The letter which reads in parts said, “The Delta State Branch of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) wishes to draw the attention of the law enforcement agents and the general public to the misrepresentation of one Mrs. Egbulem Isioma, parading herself as a licensed pharmacist.

“It should be noted that from all available records, Mrs. Egbulem Isioma is not licensed or registered by the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) and she is not a pharmacist or a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) as claimed and the body has no connection with her.

“She is not qualified to handle the scope of medicines exhibited by the police at when she was arrested operating as quack, so any advice, services or claims made by her is unauthorized and potentially harmful to the public.

“The public should be informed that pharmacists are trained professionals who are guided by legal and ethical practice principles, hence we strongly encourage the public to double-check professional credentials through official licensing body before seeking healthcare services.

“We remain committed to protecting the public and upholding professional standards and we will take necessary legal and regulatory steps to seek redress.”
