Collaborating for Change: OMO Foundation Hosts Delta PDP Social Media Team

Warri, Delta State – Wednesday, January 29, 2025 – The Delta State PDP Social Media Team (DESPSOMET) was today hosted by the CEO/Managing Director of OMO Foundation, Dr. Oritsegbegbemi Maurice Ojoede, at the foundation’s headquarters in Warri. The meeting aimed to foster synergy between the foundation and DESPSOMET to enhance brand visibility, promote humanitarian initiatives, and advance shared developmental goals.

Speaking during the engagement, Dr. Oritsegbegbemi emphasized the foundation’s commitment to breaking barriers, building bridges, delivering humanitarian aid, and empowering individuals to thrive. He underscored that OMO Foundation’s core programs focus on:

Education and Child Protection: Providing access to education, particularly in emergency situations, to safeguard vulnerable children from exploitation and abuse.

Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH): Ensuring clean drinking water, promoting good hygiene education, and distributing free sanitary pads to prevent diseases.

Healthcare Services: Enhancing access to medical care for underprivileged communities.

While expressing thanking the OMO foundation for touching lives positively Comrade Wilson Junior, Coordinator of DESPSOMET, commended OMO Foundation’s numerous humanitarian interventions. He lauded the organization for distributing free JAMB forms to thousands of students, describing it as a significant contribution to the human capital development agenda of the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori-led administration.

He further praised the foundation’s efforts in providing potable water, supporting education, and uplifting the less privileged, noting that while some foundations focus on personal profit, OMO Foundation remains dedicated to genuine community impact.

“As a personal initiative funded solely by its founder, OMO Foundation stands out for its unwavering dedication to the needy,” Comrade Wilson stated. “As the Chairman of DESPSOMET, I, alongside my members that spread across the 25 Local Government Areas of Delta State, will continue to leverage social media to amplify the foundation’s programs and achievements.”

The partnership between OMO Foundation and DESPSOMET is expected to further drive awareness of humanitarian initiatives, ensuring that more individuals and communities benefit from the foundation’s far-reaching interventions.
