AYOMA APPEALS TO UDU, UGHELLI NORTH & SOUTH ASPIRANTS TO SUPPORT WAIVE’S THIRD-TERM BID

The Coordinator of the Revolutionary Waive Third-Term Campaign for the Federal House of Representatives, Udu/Ughelli North and South Constituency, Chief Freeborn Ayoma, the Otota of Iwhrekreka Community, has appealed to aspirants from Udu Kingdom nursing ambitions for the House of Representatives to shelve their aspirations and support the re-election of Hon. Rev. Francis Waive for a third term.

Ayoma urged stakeholders to place collective development above personal ambition, stressing that Rev. Waive, who is maternally from Udu Kingdom, has demonstrated exceptional commitment to the constituency and deserves the opportunity to complete his developmental vision.

According to Ayoma, Rev. Waive’s achievements cut across all ramifications, describing him as the most impactful representative the constituency has produced. He noted that Waive’s influence and goodwill at the National Assembly led to the establishment of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Ovwián, which is currently operating temporarily at Otor-Udu Central Hospital, a landmark achievement that has transformed healthcare delivery in Udu and its environs.

He further revealed that the appointment of an illustrious son of Udu Chief Professor Kingsley Akaba an Indigene of Aladja and Otor-Udu Communities as the Medical Director of FMC Ovwián has opened massive employment opportunities for Udu sons and daughters, with close to 1,000 persons already engaged, many of whom will enjoy stable salaries and pensionable careers after 35 years of service.

Ayoma emphasized that beyond employment, the FMC has drastically reduced medical hardship, saving residents from traveling long distances for quality healthcare.

He also described Rev. Waive as the most accessible elected official the constituency has ever had, noting that the lawmaker spends most of his weekends and off-days interacting directly with constituents at the grassroots.

“Among all those who have represented us in the past, none has performed up to two percent of what Rev. Waive has achieved. He has proven that the Federal House of Representatives does not need a sleeping native dog, but a vibrant American dog active, vocal, and effective,” Ayoma said.

He added that Rev. Waive has sponsored and supported several motions and bills while attracting numerous projects across Udu, Ughelli North, and Ughelli South, all of which are visible testimonies of effective representation.

Chief Ayoma made the appeal while speaking with journalists during the official opening ceremony of Royal Ville International School, located along Otu-Jeremi Road, Udu, where Rev. Waive was a special guest.

The event was hosted by Olorogun Wheleke, the President-General of Ughievwen Kingdom. Chief Ayoma also expressed gratitude to Hon. Andrew Dokie, President-General of the Udu Union of Communities (UUC); Chief Bunor, Chief of Staff to Hon. Rev. Francis Waive; and the Arhavwarien Traditional Council of Chiefs for their support and cooperation. He further appreciated Rev. Waive for honouring the occasion.
