Delta State Taskforce Chairman Urges Diligence and Discipline for Cleaner Environment” Chief Godspower Omafuvwe Asiuwhu JP, the newly appointed Chairman of the Delta State Taskforce on Environment, has called on agency staff to prioritize diligence and discipline in their duties. Speaking at the taskforce office in Governor’s Office Annex Warri on December 19, 2023, Chief Asiuwhu emphasized their crucial role as environmental soldiers in achieving a cleaner Delta State aligned with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E Agenda. He highlighted the Governor’s commitment to a cleaner and aesthetic environment, urging staff to exhibit good conduct.
During his tour of departments with Director of Administration Mrs. Nkechi Juliet Amaraegbu, Chief Asiuwhu stressed the need for collective efforts and urged everyone to buckle up for the upcoming tasks. Commending past administrations, he emphasized the taskforce’s role in constructing a habitable environment for the people.
“There will be reform; I am ready to work. It’s time to work and keep the ground running,” he declared.
Director of Administration Mrs. Nkechi Amaraegbu commended Chief Asiuwhu’s past record as Environment Commissioner and expressed confidence in his ability to elevate the agency. She charged taskforce officials to give their best, ensuring the agency excels in enhancing Delta State’s environment.
