Apostle of Development’: Asun Praises Oborevwori for Approving Udu Road Projects”

The President of Ekete Community in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State and Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Political Matters, Chief Johnbull Asun has expressed profound appreciation to the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon.Sheriff Oborevwori for approving key infrastructural projects across the state during the recent State Executive Council meeting.
Chief Asun particularly commended the Governor for approving the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Otu-Jeremi/Udu Road, stretching from the Warri–Port Harcourt Expressway at ECN Junction to the DSC Expressway, describing the project as a major relief for residents and commuters within the axis.
He also lauded the approval of erosion control works along the Ekakpamre/Ekrokpe–Usiefrun/Orhuwhorun roads, noting that the intervention would help safeguard communities and improve road durability in the affected areas.
According to him, the approval for the construction of internal and external roads at Udu Harbour Market will significantly boost commercial activities and ease movement for traders and customers within the market environment.
Chief Asun further expressed gratitude to the Governor for approving the construction of Igbogidi Road off Orhuwhorun Road, the Udu Market Access Road as well as the construction of Tipper Road leading to the Ethiope River in Obiaruku. He described the projects as strategic to the socio-economic growth of the benefiting communities.
He noted that the approvals once again demonstrated Governor Oborevwori’s unflinching commitment to infrastructural renewal and sustainable development across Delta State.
Describing the Governor as an “Apostle of infrastructural development,” Chief Asun said the people of Udu Local Government Area and Deltans in general are deeply appreciative of the Governor’s efforts in transforming the state through impactful projects.
He expressed optimism that the projects when completed, would enhance transportation, stimulate economic activities and improve the living standards of residents.
Chief Asun therefore assured that the people of Udu and Deltans at large would reciprocate the Governor’s good works with massive support, stressing that they would stand firmly behind him in the 2027 elections in recognition of his commitment to the development of the state.
