APC South-South Legislators Forum appoints High Chief Lawuru as Patron

The South-South Forum of the All Progressives Congress- APC Minority State Legislators- has appointed a young progressive, High Chief Promise Lawuru, as their patron in their quest to mobilise youths from the Niger Delta region to key into President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Government policies and programmes.

The appointment was made known when the Chairman of the South-South Forum of APC Minority State Legislators, Hon. (Barr.) Matthew Onojighofia Omonade led other members of the forum on a courtesy visit to High Chief Promise Lawuru, who is MD/CEO of Govlarus Integrated Concept Nig Ltd, at his office in Udu Local Government Area,
Delta State, over the weekend.

Speaking during the visit, the Chairman of the South-South Forum of APC Minority State Legislators, Hon. (Barr.) Matthew Omonade disclosed that the objective of the Forum was to work with young progressives in the region in order to adequately propagate and promote the policies and programs of His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC to every nook and cranny of the South-South Geo-political zone.

He further stated that the forum was dedicated towards protecting well-meaning minority APC legislators and giving them the platform to hone their excellent ideas for the greater good of their Constituents. It is also to foster unity and visibility among APC minority legislators in the South-South Geo-political zone.

Hon. Omonade also added that most of the laudable programs of President Tinubu are not well communicated and articulated to the people of the Niger Delta region for political reasons. Hence, there is a need for like-minded persons from the region to work together to push these policies and programmes to the people.

He said: “We have followed and monitored the activities of High Chief Promise Lawuru. He is a progressive and we believe that working together with him, the policies and programmes of our great party led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be properly communicated to our people in the South-South region, and this is why we have deemed it fit to appoint him as our Patron today.”

Accepting the offer, High Chief Promise Lawuru thanked the forum for the great honour and promised to collaborate with them in propagating and promoting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Government policies and programmes in the region.

He added that all hands must be on deck in supporting the government to ensure that the dividends of democracy get to the people of the Niger Delta and the country at large.

High Chief Promise Lawuru also called on the Niger Delta youths to take advantage of the policies and programmes of the current APC-led Federal Government, particularly in skill acquisition, to improve on themselves in order to be better positioned to fend for themselves and their families.
