Amos Osigidi Congratulates Delta State Governor Oborevwori on First Anniversary in Office.
Hon. Amos Osigidi, a prominent PDP chieftain in Uvwie and former chairmanship aspirant, has extended his congratulations to His Excellency Rt. Honorable Francis Sheriff Oborevwori, the Executive Governor of Delta State, on the occasion of his one-year anniversary in office. Osigidi, who also serves as the National President of Urhobo Youth, praised the governor’s commitment to the M.O.R.E. agenda, highlighting the governor’s diligent work and adherence to his campaign promises from the 2023 gubernatorial race.
In his congratulatory message, Osigidi lauded Governor Oborevwori for initiating key development projects, including the construction of flyovers in Uvwie and its environs. These projects, awarded to Julius Berger Contracting Company, have instilled hope among Deltans despite challenging economic conditions. Osigidi emphasized that these efforts are just a glimpse of the governor’s future plans for Delta State’s development, progress, and prosperity.
Osigidi further commended Governor Oborevwori for following a strategic blueprint aimed at the collective prosperity of Deltans. He noted that the governor has risen above opposition criticisms, proving his capability and demonstrating that he is a leader with a difference. Reflecting on his own past criticisms of the governor, Osigidi issued a public apology, acknowledging that he had underestimated the governor’s abilities. He apologized on behalf of all opposition and critics, affirming that Governor Oborevwori is more than capable of leading Delta State to greater heights.
In his statement, Osigidi also remarked on the nature of political discourse, stating, “In the game of politics, criticism is part of the gameplay and should not affect relationships amongst kinsmen.” His remarks highlight the importance of unity and constructive engagement in the political arena.
Governor Oborevwori’s administration has made significant strides in its first year, setting the stage for continued development and positive change in Delta State.
With the support of leaders like Hon. Amos Osigidi, the governor’s vision for the state appears promising, aiming to enhance the quality of life for all Deltans.
