Ahon in a congratulatory statement, on Wednesday in Asaba, described Nwaeke, who is an Assistant-General Manager with the Delta Broadcasting Service, Warri, as an experienced journalist with many years of outstanding accomplishments.
He expressed optimism that Nwaeke would bring his many years of experience to bear on his new assignment as the chief image maker of the State Legislature, adding that he had no reservation on the competence of Nwaeke to handle the office.
“On behalf of my family, I congratulate my dear brother and friend, Comrade Nkem Nwaeke on his well-deserved appointment as Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the State House of Assembly.
“This appointment couldn’t have come at a better time than now, as you have over the years shown capacity and competence in your reportage of the activities of the State House of Assembly.
“I am convinced that the Rt. Hon. Speaker made the right choice in your appointment and I have no doubt in my mind that you will justify the confidence reposed in you by Mr Speaker.
