Promise Lawuru Reacts To Rejoinder Issued By DTHA Minority Caucus
*describes it as Hand of Isau and Voice of Jacob
Following a rejoinder made by the Minority Caucus of the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA) against an alleged publication claimed to have been made by the Leader Southern Youth For Good Governance (SYGG), High Chief Promise Lawuru on issues concerning the Governor Sherriff Oborevwori’s performance in office and 2027 general election, Chief Promise Lawuru has described the lawmakers’ statement as the ‘hand of Isau and Voice of Jacob’.
Members of the Minority Caucus had alleged issued a rejoinder and signed by seven of the APC lawmakers in the DTHA, drawing the attention of the general public claiming that High Chief Promise Lawuru’ publication in Gbaramatu voice TV was was misleading.
Minority Caucus members who signed the rejoinder include; Hon. Emakpor Edafe, Esq, (Minority Leader and Member representing Uvwie State Constituency), Hon. Ebitonmo Anthony Alapala (Minority Whip and Member representing Burutu State Constituency 1), Hon. Matthew Onojighofia Omonade, Esq (Member representing Ughelli North Constituency 1), Hon. Spencer Obakore Ohwofa,Esq (Member representing Ughelli North Constituency 2), Hon. Collins Ovie Egbetama, Esq (Member representing Udu Constituency), Hon. Achoja Blessing (Member representing Ethiope West Constituency) and Hon. Benson Obire (Member representing Warri South Constituency respectively.
However, in a response by the Leader of the Southern Youth for Good Governance (SYGG), High Chief Promise Lawuru, described the rejoinder of the minority caucus as ‘Hand of Isau and voice of Jacob.
In a statement personally Signed, High Chief Promise Lawuru described the infamous rejoinder issued by the Apc minority caucus in the Delta House of Assembly as Hand of Isau but the voice of Jacob.
He said; “I described the said publication from the serving law makers in the DTHA as unnecessary because even in my previous publications I never accredited my statements to the Assembly members”
The Leader Southern Youth for Good Governance, further said; “It was my personal statement; so they (DTHA Minority Caucus) coming to distance themselves from my personal statement is nothing but unnecessary. As their grand patron, the only thing I can do is to pray for them to overcome this hard time”.
