Christmas Gesture: Tako Distributes Relief Items to Physically Challenged Persons.
The spirit of the festive season came alive in Ovwian and Egini Communities of Udu Local Government Area, Delta State, as Comrade Tako Oshoghene Daniel, popularly known as “D Mayor of Udu,” spearheaded a charitable outreach on behalf of Olorogun Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode JP FCIA, the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, and Chief Dr. Henry Sakpra, Chairman of the Delta State Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Agency.
The outreach witnessed the distribution of rice and cash gifts to several physically challenged persons in the two communities, aimed at bringing joy and relief to the beneficiaries during the festive period.
Speaking during the event, Comrade Tako, who also extended generosity to his media team, emphasized the essence of the Christmas season, saying, “Christ is the reason for the season.” He reiterated the commitment of the Udu Local Government leadership to supporting the less privileged in society and fostering a spirit of inclusivity and care.
The beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the council chairman and his team for their thoughtful gesture, which they described as timely and impactful. This initiative underscores the council’s dedication to uplifting the underprivileged and ensuring that everyone in the community enjoys the festive season.
The event further highlighted the leadership qualities of Olorogun Oyibode and Chief Sakpra, whose support and vision continue to inspire such compassionate initiatives across Udu Local Government Area.
