St Paul’s Empowers Youths With Start Up Cash.

It was a time for fun, reflection and brainstorming towards raising cognitive, spiritual and business orientation of youths in St Pauls Anglican Church vis a vis a vis Ekete Archdeaconry.

In his opening devotion, the Archdeacon of the Archdeaconry, Venerable Gabriel Kpagban said that the one day seminar was aimed at upgrading the status youths in the church and across the Archdeaconry.

Venerable Kpagban said that Archbishop of Bendel Province and Bishop of Ughelli Diocese, Most Revd Cyril Odutemu gives premium to the spiritual and physical welfare of the youths.

The Vicar of St Paul’s, Ekete, charged the participating youths, especially beneficiaries of the economic empowerment to put into good use the knowledge acquired.

He told the four persons empowered that their business ventures will be monitored periodically so as ensure that they are meeting target of making youths of the church economically viable.

According to him, the youth seminar and financial empowerment has become a regular feature of the church programs.

Guest speakers took turns on special issues that would enhance the living of the youths.

Speaking on common ways of self and business development, Mrs Ikwesiri Olalekan, told the youths to nose for business opportunities around them, be consistent and honest in their dealings.

For his part, Sir Pat Willie, who spoke on ” Service: Connecting Door To Greatness, identified some key pillars to achieving greatness such as humility, honesty and hardworking.

Mrs Ochuko Ogbeni noted determination, focus, patience, belief in God and oneself as prerequisites to be on the highway to fulfillment of purpose and passion in life.

Choir Master of St Paul’s, Mr Joshua Ekure highlighted tips for building a healthy relationship for married and singles including making God the centre piece of everything relationship.

To be highflyers as twenty first century youths, Nelson Miller said youths should take advantage of communication technological revolution, service to God and others as necessities.

Highpoint of the maiden youths seminar and financial empowerment was the raffle draw that produced lucky dip winners.

The first batch of beneficiaries were Lucky Oraka, Mamuzo Oro-Christopher, Edesiri Joseph and Jane Okobia.
